Day Trading Stocks Can be Risky Business

If you are the type of trader looking to make big bucks via guaranteed
investment options, then day trading of stocks is not for you. Patience and

come by within the first few months. A lot of practice is required to understand
market patterns in the context of a tight time line, failing to utilize which
incurs a lot of losses on your part.
The biggest myth about day trading of stocks is perhaps the fact that this is
a financial arena where you can make sky high profits within a relatively short
period.
It is true that day traders can gain a high leverage within a day of trade
but whereas the leverage can act as a profit multiplier, but your losses will
also increase by that amount, should this leverage act negatively for you.
The short time frame imposes severe restrictions on traditional analysis
tools that predict outcomes, so in a sense stock day trading is seen by many as
a form of gambling rather than an investment option.
The major difference between stock trading in a normal fashion and day
trading stocks is basically the period of trade that is taken into account. As
we have discussed earlier, in day trading, all positions are closed before the
actual close of trade for the day, so in effect a day trader holds a certain
position for the period of the day of trade, rather than carry forward that same
position onto the next day of trade.
Day trading of currencies is slightly different from the day trading of
commodities on the stock exchange, because the Forex trade hours are
considerably longer, so sometimes a position can be withheld for the next day
when day trading currencies.

Stock day trading is actually designed for short term profits. The buying and
